This Pomegranate Extract Powder contains 40% Ellagic Acid. The botanical name of the pomegranate is punica granatum L.. Pomegranate is a fruit-bearing many health beneficial nutrients and phytochemicals, such as vitamin C, vitamin B5, potassium, and tannins, flavonoids polyphenols. It was studied to be helpful in maintaining healthy cholesterol, triglyceride level, and prostate. Ellagic acid is one of the polyphenols that binds with a carbohydrate (as Ellagitannins) in pomegranate. Ellagic acid is also present in other red fruits and berries, including raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, cranberries, and some nuts including pecans and walnuts. Plants produce ellagic acid to prevent microbiological infection and pests. Ellagic acid has antioxidant, detoxification, and many other healthy properties to prompt overall cell health of human beings. General dose amount for adult is 500mg once or twice daily with water or juice. 1/4 lower level teaspoon of this powder is about 500mg.
